The rose is the favourite flower of 85 percent of Americans and this is probably why President Reagan in 1986 made the rose the National flower of the United States. There are many rose gardens all over the world that reflect the love for the rose and showcase the beauty that it holds. This rosebush is claimed to be the symbol of prosperity for the city in which it blooms. It has survived bombings from wars when the Cathedral was destroyed, and has only grown stronger since that time.
